We chose to spend two nights at Domaine De Vandenesse in order to break our journey en-route to Le Havre, and we're so glad we did. The location alongside the canal and in the heart of the village was excellent. Our room had a lovely terrace with a view of the chateau, where we enjoyed a bottle of local red from the hotel cellar. The laid-back feel, welcoming hosts, and excellent restaurant added to the overall experience. It's the perfect place to break the long haul from the south to the Manche ports, but definitely deserves more than one night.
Would recommend this hotel.

Nestled in a charming village on the Bourgogne canal, this laid, back hotel is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. the location is lovely and quiet, with gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside. the rooms are all unique and cozy, while the bathrooms are modern and spotless. the service is impeccable, with friendly and welcoming hosts who go out of their way to make their guests feel at home. the mouth, watering breakfasts and locally, sourced wines only add to the charm of this delightful hotel.
The nearby wine tasting may be slightly overpriced for some guests.

Spent the new year at a secluded and peaceful accommodation in the French countryside. The apartment was modern and stylish. The huge bed and jacuzzi allowed for maximum comfort and relaxation. Additionally, the view of the river and the nearby medieval town were the best aspects of this experience.
While the apartment itself was a great value, there were a few minor issues that could be improved. Firstly, the Wi-Fi connection was unstable and it was difficult to connect at times. Additionally, it would have been convenient if there were bikes available for rent to explore the surrounding areas. Other than these minor things, it was an overall positive experience.

The hotel is located in a charming and peaceful spot with lovely views to the countryside. the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and cozy. the on-site restaurant served a delicious breakfast with fresh and local ingredients. we enjoyed taking long walks and admiring the beautiful surroundings.
Although the hotel was nice overall, we felt frustrated by the unreliable Wi-Fi connection, which made it challenging to check our emails and stay connected. the lack of bicycle rentals made it difficult to explore the area fully and have more freedom in our itinerary.
